As the present Manager of EmpowerMaui LLC and having been active in Maui's Communications and Electronics needs since 1978, James has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be successful in the business world.
EmpowerMaui LLC is an internet based business which is dedicated to a small, but growing, group of holistic minded people within the close knit community located within, but not limited to Maui County. Maui County consists of the Islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai, in the Island State of Hawaii. EmpowerMaui LLC is devoted to providing education related to a green and sustainable life that will appeal to the community.
Mr. Hall is responsible for managing all major aspects of the business as well as overseeing the daily operations. He possesses particular expertise in two way radio and microwave radio communications, electronic repair and remote acquisition of data and control automation. James is a forward thinking individual who started one of the first cellular telephone dealerships in Maui. Prior to cellular telephone coming to Maui, James Hall, through his work with General Electric, Uniden, and Motorola built his companies ECC Corp. and Jim's Communications into the main provider of paging services, radio telephone sales and services. His customer base included many small businesses, as well as companies such as HC&S, Wailuku Sugar, Pioneer Mill, Lanai Company, Castle & Cook, Dole, Maui Land & Pine, Maui Police Department, Maui Electric, Maui County, Haleakala National Park, resorts such as the Maui Marriot, Kapalua, Hyatt, Wailea Ekahi as well as a number of other resorts, and various tour boat operations. Mr. Hall provided consulting and FCC licensed services to many customers, including Hawaiian Cablevision and Camp Cable.
Having sold his business and successfully transitioned his customer base to Visions Enterprises, Mr. Hall went on to a 17 plus year career at the local electric utility, Maui Electric Co. Ltd, where he was one member of a small shop of technicians responsible for design, installation and maintenance of an extensive microwave radio, two-way radio system, as well as the upgrade and expansion of the electrical grid towards automation and control, preparing for the day when a newer SmartGrid will come online.
Finding a need with the internet based era fast engulfing the world, James naturally progressed to include learning, understanding and being involved in most aspects of the world wide web known as the internet. James is an extraordinary entrepreneur who runs various online websites for social, educational, nonprofit and marketing operations. As a constant learner and always looking ahead to predict and meet new challenges, James Hall intends to be a very active in future endeavors.
