GPA GCC and The Energy Exchange to partner for the Gas Arabia Summit
In occasion of the seventh edition of the Gas Arabia Summit, the Gas Processors Association - GCC Chapter (GPA GCC) and The Energy Exchange have established a strategic partnership to address critical gas related challenges.
LONDON, ENGLAND, August 10, 2011 /Environment PR News/ -- The Chairman of GPA GCC and Vice President Southern Area Oil Operations at Saudi Aramco, Mr Saad Turaiki will be opening the second day of the Summit, Tuesday 13 December, with a speech on the mission and role of the Association for the promotion of best practice on gas processing for the GCC gas industry.
Furthermore, Mr Turaiki will offer a Keynote presentation on Wednesday 14 December during the Gas Flaring Reduction Day. This focus day represents an occasion for operating companies and technology providers to actively share knowledge, concerns and information on the reduction of gas waste in the region and beyond. Non associated natural gas is an indispensable and yet scarce resource and several countries in the Middle East import it in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). It has been estimated that over 5% of natural gas is wasted yearly through flaring. The GPA GCC will also exhibit as part of the Summit associated activities.
The Gas Arabia Summit will take place in Muscat, Oman, 11-14 December 2011, and will feature the 4TH Annual Sour Gas Meeting, the 2 day Summit, the Gas Flaring Reduction Day and the Oman LNG site visit.
