Green Collar Operations Nominated for Austin Business Journal's "Going Green Award"
Green Collar Operations, a home energy efficiency company, was recently a finalist for an award given to Austin companies that are leading the effort to protect the environment.
AUSTIN, TX, June 23, 2011 /Environment PR News/ -- Green Collar Operations is pleased to announce that it is a finalist in this year's "Going Green Award" held by the Austin Business Journal at the Westin Hotel at the Domain.
The Austin Business Journal puts on the event and determines the companies and business leaders who are leading the effort to protect the environment. The 2010 Going Green Award will honor those in Central Texas who make efforts to incorporate environmentally sustainable practices into their business and community work.

As a participating contractor in multiple utility rebate programs throughout Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Waco and San Antonio, Green Collar Operations has a staff of Building Performance Certified Technicians that have been trained and are equipped with diagnostic tools to inspect homes inside and out to determine where improvements are needed. Rather than focusing on a single problem, like an old heating or cooling system, not enough insulation in the attic, or leaky windows, they look at how a comprehensive set of improvements can give homeowners the best results. Depending on the improvements, homeowners can easily save 20 - 40 percent on their annual utility bills by improving their home's efficiency. After making the necessary improvements, Green Collar works directly with the utility programs to help their customers receive cash rebates.
