Director Of Company Lights Up The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Peter Kelly has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who as a result of his spectacular effort in the Lighting Industry.
BELMONT, WA, AUSTRALIA, February 26, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Peter Kelly has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who as a result of his spectacular effort in the Lighting Industry. As Director of Gecko Lighting since 2007, and throughout his impressive 16 years in the business, Peter has routinely performed at an outstanding level.
Gecko Lighting provides LED lighting products to commercial, industrial and residential customers. They offer the latest in LED technology as well as economical and environmentally friendly lighting that is developed specifically for the Australian 240 volt electricity system. Their LED lights are efficient in reducing energy usage, pollutants and toxic waste which help to reduce costs and electricity use by up to 90%. They can be used to replace standard globes, fluorescent tubes, down lights, factory, warehouse, street and yard lights.
A visit to China in 2007 sparked Peter's interest in contributing to the solution of the question on how to reduce carbon emissions. LED lighting seemed to be the most obvious short term as well as long term solution. He was fuelled by the image of energy demand for all street lighting, warehouse and office lighting reduced by 70% through the simple swapping to LED alternatives.
Trying to wade through the incredible amount of products emerging on the market, as well as developing products specifically for the Australian 240V market, proved quite difficult for Mr. Kelly. Trying to convince governments, business and ultimately the general public to embrace the new technology is also proving slow, although all people Peter has spoken to are very keen on the idea, including high level government. He notes that when people do make the change they are extremely happy with the results.
Peter attributes his success to his consistent work ethic as well as always listening and continuing to learn. He also feels that he owes a lot of credit to his business partner, Murrie Hurley, for his extensive experience and commitment to detail in keeping Gecko Lighting at the forefront of LED lighting technology.
Peter's passion for what he does is a driving force in his continued inspiration. He sees himself in the near future as continuing to be able to supply leading technology LED lighting to the general market. Seeing the effects of the lower energy usage making some sort of impact on the global warming problems is a motivating force in his business and personal life.
When Peter has time away from his busy schedule, he enjoys motor sports, off-road 4WD activities and camping. He has also owned and operated an industrial equipment supply company call Unimec for the past 16 years.
