Karen S. Groh Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Logging Operations

Karen S. Groh stands at the helm of a logging company known for efficiency, eco-friendly techniques, and state regulation compliance

THOMPSON FALLS, MT, December 13, 2010 /Environment PR News/ -- Karen S. Groh, Owner of K & K Logging, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in logging operations.

Karen S. Groh literally married into the logging industry in 1996, through her union with her husband Kenneth, a second-generation logger. Formerly of Johnson Controls, she brought extensive working knowledge of factory operations to K & K Logging, which she initially joined as a machine operator. Ms. Groh has since been elevated to the status of co-owner, and now utilizes her first-hand experience of processor operations to manage all processor and machine operations, as well as oversee business development, supervise and train employees, and deal with clients. The first to admit that she knew nothing about logging when she first ventured into the industry, she credits her successful transition to her adeptness and the support of her husband, who taught her everything she knows.

Incorporated in 1998, K & K Logging was founded by Kenneth Groh, a 30-year veteran of the logging industry who honed his skills as an apprentice to his father in the woods of Wisconsin. Mr. Groh was recognized by the Forest Service of Idaho for efficiency, eco-friendly techniques and state regulation compliance, and adheres to the same code of ethics in his present dealings. The Grohs are deeply proud of their contributions to logging and look forward to expanding operations in the coming years.

Ms. Groh completed coursework in computer science and negotiation. She is professionally affiliated with the Montana Logging Association and is actively involved with the Thompson Falls Bowling Association. Additionally, she serves as secretary of Gutter Gals Bowling. In 2009, she was inducted into Cambridge Who's Who as a VIP member.
